Magical World of Harry Potter - 8-Hour Projects
I had the opportunity to return to my undergraduate alma mater in Fall of 2017 to participate in Allegheny's annual 8-Hour Projects show! Alumni artists gathered and completed work in the gallery over the course of an 8-hour day to be displayed for the following month. Often these projects incorporate input from viewers as time is limited. I chose to create a giant Harry Potter-themed "zentangle" where others could contribute to the internal scribbles/designs, and I was honored to see other hands contribute to my original design! Focusing on the world of Harry was a way to return to one of my other favorite schools in honor of the 20th anniversary of the publishing of JKR's first installment of the series.
Harvest Beer
I was asked to complete a window mural at Bellevue Beer in August 2015 to represent the upcoming harvest season. This was completed in one long, warm Saturday and was on display for 2 months before crossing into the Holiday season. What if you came across a skeleton bartender?
Hops Vine, Voodoo Homestead
I was lucky to know some of the wonderful people involved in moving Voodoo beers from Meadville to Pittsburgh in 2015! So many artists added dynamic chalk drawings and paintings to the walls and ceiling of Voodoo in Homestead much like the original in Meadville, PA. I'd never been on such a high ladder but I'm happy to see these hops still adorning the menu wall several years later!
Street Track N' Trail, Conneaut Lake, PA
This 10x30' mural was completed in 2010 midway through my time at Allegheny College, located nearby. Street Track N' Trail staff reached out to the college for any artists looking for the opportunity to design a mural incorporating the dealership's logo into a landscape of Route 6. I worked together with a dear friend and fellow art major Kelly Lani-Burtch (@kelly.laniburtch.art) on this project for their Harley Davidson showroom. You can bet we got some awesome motorcycle rides through the farmlands when it was complete!
