Crocheting
While I was in graduate school pursuing my art therapy master's, I found I was often emotionally and physically exhausted after long days balancing work, school, and internships.  I was working part time at a Michael's and fell completely in love with yarn.  The colors!  The textures!  I wanted to make things!  Praise Youtube. I learned and practiced crocheting use Youtube videos and before long, crocheting became my favorite way to relax, unwind, and be creative in some way when really all I wanted was to sit on the couch and binge Netflix. Now nearly 5 years post graduate school it's hard to go a day without crocheting. I continue to love exploring new color and texture combinations and moved beyond scarves to creating larger ponchos, shrugs, and blankets.  Because we all need a little bit of extra warmth!
I was honored to participate in Pittsburgh's Handmade Arcade in December 2018 and look forward to events like this in the future!
